Gordon Hall is built.

Built by Gordon H. Nott, the building was moved in sections from Boston and reassembled at the corner of Gordon Avenue and River Street. It contains stores and meeting rooms, and is subsequently used as the Hyde Park Town Hall. Destroyed by fire on March 8, 1883, it is replaced by a new building in 1891.*
